Apollo Residential Mortgage is a residential real estate finance holding company. Through its subsidiaries, Co. is engaged in investing in residential mortgage assets in the U.S. Co. invests in residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS) that are issued or guaranteed as to principal and/or interest by a federally chartered corporation, such as Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac, or an agency of the U.S. Government, such as Ginnie Mae, whose underlying collateral includes fixed rate mortgages, adjustable rate mortgages and interest-only and inverse interest-only securities. Co. also invests in RMBS that are not issued or guaranteed by a U.S. government Agency.
