Devon Energy is an independent energy company engaged primarily in the exploration, development and production of oil, natural gas and natural gas liquids. Co.'s operations are located in the U.S. and Canada. Co.'s U.S. properties are comprised of Barnett Shale, Cana-Woodford Shale, Permian Basin, Gulf Coast/East Texas, Rocky Mountains, Granite Wash, and Mississippian. Co.'s Canada properties are comprised of Canadian Oil Sands and Lloydminster. Co. also owns natural gas pipelines, plants and treatment facilities in its producing areas. As of Dec 31 2012, Co. had 3.01 billion barrels of oil equivalent of proved reserves.
