The Gap is a retailer providing apparel, accessories and personal care products for men, women, children and babies under the Gap, Old Navy, Banana Republic, Piperlime, Athleta, and Intermix brands. Co. operates stores in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., France, Ireland, Japan, China and Italy; and has franchise agreements with unaffiliated franchisees to operate Gap and Banana Republic in Asia, Australia, Eastern Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa. Under these agreements, third parties operate stores that sell apparel and related products under Co.'s brand names. Co.'s products are also available online. At Feb 2 2013, Co. had 3,407 Co.-operated and franchise store locations.
