Through its subsidiaries, Florida Power & Light Company (FPL) and NextEra Energy Resources, LLC (NEER), Co. is engaged in providing retail and wholesale electric services, and owns generation, transmission and distribution facilities to support its services. FPL is engaged primarily in the generation, transmission, distribution and sale of electric energy in Florida. NEER produces its electricity from sources, including wind and solar. NEER also provides energy and capacity requirements services, engages in power and gas marketing and trading activities, and owns a retail electricity provider serving customers in 13 states and the District of Columbia.
