Resource America is an asset management company that evaluates, originates, services and manages investment opportunities through its real estate, commercial finance and financial fund management subsidiaries. As an asset manager, Co. develops investment funds for outside investors for which it provides asset management services, usually under long-term management arrangements either through a contract with, or as the manager or general partner of, its sponsored investment funds. Co. maintains an investment in the funds it sponsors. Co. is engaged in the real estate, commercial finance and financial fund management operations. As of Sep 30 2012, Co. managed $14.92 billion of assets.
