Co. acquires and owns seniors housing and healthcare properties and leases its properties to unaffiliated tenants or operate them through independent third-party managers. Through its Lillibridge Healthcare Services, Inc. subsidiary and its interest in PMB Real Estate Services LLC, Co. provides medical office building management, leasing, marketing, facility development and advisory services to hospitals and health systems. Co. also makes secured and unsecured loans and other investments relating to seniors housing and healthcare operators or properties. As of Dec 31 2012, Co. owned 1,442 properties in 46 states, the District of Columbia and Canada.
