Wayne Savings Bancshares is a bank holding company. Through its subsidiary Wayne Savings Community Bank (the Bank), Co. is engaged in providing a range of consumer and business financial services. The Bank's principal business activities consist of originating one-to-four family residential real estate loans, multi-family residential, commercial and non-residential real estate loans. The Bank also originates consumer loans, and to a lesser extent, construction loans. The Bank's primary lending and deposit gathering area includes Wayne, Holmes, Ashland, Medina and Stark counties. As of Dec 31 2011, Co. had total assets of $410.1 million and total deposits of $333.8 million.
