Looking at the underlying holdings of the ETFs in our coverage universe at ETF Channel, we have compared the trading price of each holding against the average analyst 12-month forward target price, and computed the weighted average implied analyst target price for the ETF itself. For the Vanguard Small-Cap Value ETF (NYSE:VBR), we found that the implied analyst target price for the ETF based upon its underlying holdings is $194.58 per unit. With VBR trading at a recent price near $175.61 per unit, that means that analysts see 10.80% upside for this ETF looking through to the average analyst targets of the underlying holdings. Three of VBR's underlying holdings with notable upside to their analyst target prices are NuScale Power Corp (NYSE:SMR), Air Transport Services Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:ATSG), and Helios Technologies Inc (NYSE:HLIO). Although SMR has traded at a recent price of $2.59/share, the average analyst target is 261.97% higher at $9.38/share. Similarly, ATSG has 61.81% upside from the recent share price of $14.39 if the average analyst target price of $23.29/share is reached, and analysts on average are expecting HLIO to reach a target price of $62.00/share, which is 53.47% above the recent price of $40.40.
