SmartFinancial is a bank holding company. Through its subsidiary, SmartBank, Co. accepts deposits from the general public and invests those funds, together with funds generated from operations and from principal and interest payments on loans, primarily in commercial loans, commercial and residential real estate loans, consumer loans and residential and commercial construction loans. Co.'s primary deposit products are interest-bearing demand deposits, savings and money market deposits, and time deposits.
